Professor, IIT Roorkee
Professor Jha is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at IIT Roorkee. He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur, specializing in Modeling and Simulation in Continuous Casting Steelmaking Processes. Before joining IIT Roorkee, he held faculty positions at IIT Guwahati and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and worked as a Quick Hire Fellow at the National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur.
His research expertise spans Manufacturing Engineering, with a focus on metal casting, metal matrix composites, solidification processing, flow and thermal behavior analysis, and magneto-hydrodynamic studies in continuous casting tundishes and molds. He has published extensively in leading international journals and conferences and has contributed to several books in his field. Additionally, he has supervised multiple doctoral and master's theses and has led sponsored research and consultancy projects funded by SERB-DST, CSIR, ITC, and SAIL.
